Alright ladies, it’s time for girl talk! Specifically, cleavage talk! Now, it’s no secret, I’m a petite girl. I’ve always been small for my age. I was always the shortest kid in school, I was never tall enough to go on the fun roller coasters with my friends and I was always jealous of the popular girls that had, well… BOOBS.
Does anyone know the famous “pudding” balloons scene from the movie Now and Then? If you’ve seen the movie, you know what I’m talking about. This is still one of my favorite coming-of-age films of all time, and it was basically my bible when I was going through my teenage years. I looked up to these girls, so naturally, I too stuffed my bra in middle school and was OVER-THE-MOON when Victoria Secret launched their Bombshell (Add two cup sizes) line. Remember those? For a while, this did the trick, but obviously… I am what I am, and at the end of the day, what I was doing was essentially what I like to call “false advertising”.
Now, I want to be clear about something. I USED to be super insecure about my body, especially my boobs (or lack there of), but now, I’m all about body-positivity and self-love. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to appreciate my body, my small chest and encourage others to do the same. You are unique and you are perfect just the way you are. I know it sounds cheezy AF, but it’s absolutely true. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel self-conscious about your body or your appearance. We’re all human, we’re all different shapes and sizes and yes, we’re all beautiful in our own way. #BornThisWayBaby
That being said, it’s okay to want to enhance your natural beauty sometimes. I don’t wear makeup everyday, but I definitely do when I’m going out with friends or to a special event. It’s natural to want to look and feel our best, especially in the presence of friends, family, colleagues or our peers. Well, for my fellow petite and (small-bust) girls, on those “special occasions”, when you’re wearing a low-cut dress and some cleavage would be nice… you’re in luck.
I recently tried UpBra® for the first time and I’m excited to share my before and after pics for anyone on the fence about adding a strapless, push-up bra to their undergarments collection. Unlike the Victoria Secret Bombshell bra, UpBra® doesn’t false advertise. Instead, it accentuates what is already there- your natural bust. You can easily adjust it and to be honest, you can even go further with how much cleavage you can achieve. In fact, these images are pretty tame… but I have some young readers on here, so I wanted to keep it G-rated. 😉
For this collab, Upbra sent me their Miraculous Stay-Up Strapless Upbra® in Solid Black and Solid Red, as well as a bra extender which adds 2 inches of band to the bra. As I mentioned, the Stay-Up Strapless Upbra® is great for special occasions when you need a powerful strapless bra that won’t fall down. This version also has a specifically formulated vinyl grip that will keep everything up, even when worn strapless! And you’ll be glad to know, this bra even comes with bra straps in case you want to wear it with straps. Shop it here.
Again, you can adjust how much cleavage you want – which is great for when you want a little extra lift or you’re literally dressing to impress… if you know what I mean. Either way, I would recommend this bra for my small-bust girls who are looking to enhance their natural bust with a little help from Upbra®. Shop it here.
