I can’t believe it’s been another year! I remember typing out my New Year’s resolutions for 2017 and I honestly don’t know where the time goes. How is it already 2018?! Last year I was determined to focus on health & wellness and to be fair, the first half of the year I was pretty good, but somewhere around that half-way point, I fell back on my workout routine, slacked on my healthy food choices and ended up where I am now which let’s just call it… not my summer bod.

Of course, there’s more to health and wellness than working out and a perfect body. I think the most important thing is to feel good about your choices, habits and overall well-being. Personally, I feel the best when I stick to a good workout routine (at least 3-4 times a week), and choose nutritious and wholesome foods for every meal of the day. There’s always going to be the occasional “cheat day” because… well, life. However, I’ve found I feel way more productive and far less guilty about taking a #TreatYoSelf day once in a while when I’m “good” the other 90% of the time.

The holidays are my favorite time of year. I love getting together with my family and friends, catching up, and doing our family traditions. But one of my FAVORITE parts about the holidays is the absolutely amazing food that we share starting on Thanksgiving. That being said, from Thanksgiving on, it’s basically “all over” for healthy eating habits & workout routines.

Now that the holiday season is over and it’s another new year, my goal for January is to get back on the horse and return to my health-conscious routine. If you’re like me, and you’ve been dreading making the transition from happy fatty holiday foods to the same-old boring bland foods, well- don’t! Choosing nutritious and wholesome meals doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice flavor. I love convenient meal solutions because they are an easy way to enjoy something delicious while still satisfying your appetite!

I recently purchased Jimmy Dean Delights® Turkey Sausage, Egg White and Cheese on English Muffin from my local Target store. These are an excellent source of protein and are made with  perfectly seasoned turkey and real egg whites and they’re SO freaking good in the morning- let me tell you! I’m in a rush most mornings because I’m helping Chris get ready for work, making coffee, trying to make breakfast, and then rushing off to a 2-hour commute to LA for auditions. Mornings are basically a complete disaster. (Or as Chris and I like to put it, a hot mess).   • 1 banana
  • 1 orange
  • 4-5 strawberries
  • 1 package non-fat vanilla yogurt
  • ice


  1. Add fruit & yogurt to your blender
  2. Add desired amount of ice
  3. Blend & serve with a fun straw and fresh fruit for garnish
  4. Enjoy!
