This time, I was really excited to mix things up by adding a few artichokes and Hearts of Palm into some of our favorite dishes! Reese has a great variety of both artichokes and Hearts of Palm.

For these recipes, I used:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp kalua infused or kosher salt
  • 1 TBS Italian dry spice or dried basil

2.  Use a stand or hand mixer and slowly add 110° water until a dough ball forms and flour pulls away from the sides.

3.  Sprinkle semolina flour on wooden pizza peel. Hand knead until dough is symmetrical and round. Place in a warm space and cover with a paper towel for about an hour.

4.  Slice pepperoni, mozzarella, Reese Select Hearts of Palm and roughly dice Reese Quartered Artichoke Hearts, Reese Quartered Marinated Artichoke Hearts and Reese Tender Small Artichoke Hearts.

  1. After dough rises, sprinkle semolina flour on top to prevent sticking then roll out to approximately 12″ in diameter. Fold edges to make a crust.
  2. Evenly spread marinara sauce up to the edge of the crust.
  3. Add all toppings except for fresh basil and parmesan. (Use a generous amount of Reese Select Hearts of Palm, Reese Quartered Artichoke Hearts, Reese Quartered Marinated Artichoke Hearts and Reese Tender Small Artichoke Hearts. This will add some great protein properties to your pizza!)
  4. If using a pizza stone, increase temperature to 500°.
  5. Slide pizza onto stone. Cook for approximately 5-7 minutes until browned and bubbly.  (If no pizza stone, cook on a cooking sheet for about 15 minutes.
  6. Once pizza is ready, remove from oven and sprinkle on fresh basil, parmesan and if desired, red pepper flakes.
  7. Serve and enjoy!!
