This weekend, my dad and I were invited by the owner of Bailey’s Juicery to attend a special brunch and preview of what’s to come at the brand new Auntie’s Cafe in Uptown Whittier, CA. The food was absolutely spectacular!
But First, Brunch
The place was decorated beautifully. My Dad and I snagged a seat at the top terrace under the string lights. Waiting to welcome us at the table was both lemon and cucumber water and coffee of course! Next we were greeted with traditional and pink grapefruit mimosas garnished with fresh rosemary.
First course was almond crusted french toast on challah bread with amaretto, lemon curd and blueberries. Simply divine! Next was smoked salmon and goat cheese scramble. Lastly, we were served TWO desserts! Cardamom ice cream with fresh peaches and a waffle cookie dipped in dark chocolate. Heaven!
After brunch, we checked out at a little record shop across the street called Lovelle’s Records where my dad picked up a Junior Kimbrough record. Saw some Stones stuff and took some mandatory pictures, of course.
Lots of fun places popping up in Uptown Whittier. Definitely worth checking out next time you’re in the area and make sure you check out Auntie’s at their pop up appearances around town!
